which file to modify?

  • this may be a stupid question because im still new to wordpress, but if i want to add javascript code on my main page under the header or whatever, above the first blog entry, which file do i change?

    for example, ive added adsense to sidebar.php with no problem, using the built-in theme editor..

    and on this same note, is it possible to add meta keywords to my page, and if so which file?

    I think it would either be a. at the end of the header template or b. before <?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?> in the main index template

    meta keywords would be in the header.
