• Hi all,

Can someone suggest the best WooCommerce plugin extension for accomplishing the following pricing model:

    20-Box Set with Juice – $159.80 ($7.99 ea)
    20-Box Set, no Juice – $155 ($7.75 ea)

    20-BAG Set with Juice – $155 ($7.75 ea)
    20-BAG Set, no Juice – $150 ($7.50 ea)

Within each set, you can mix & match from a list of 15 components (they’re pre-made lunches).

Initially, I thought to set up each component as a simple product, then assign each simple product to 4 grouped products I create for each 20-pack scenario (Box / Bag / Juice / No Juice).

This works (sorta) because the simple products are listed nicely on each grouped product’s page with adjustable quantity boxes so the customer can select the components/quantities of each component that will make up their 20-pack set.

The catch is that I need a way to make sure the total quantity of all components ordered add up to 20 so they stay within the 20-pack limit. Does the Min/Max plugin work on grouped products?

The other catch is that the price for each simple product actually varies based on box, bag, juice, or no juice and the client wants to show the per-component price, not a grouped price.

I thought to rely on the Product Add-on extension to simply attach an add-on price to each 20-pack/grouped product based on whether the customer chooses a box/bag/juice/no juice variation, but that only bumps up the price of the set as a whole and won’t show the impact on price per component. I feel like I’m missing something else here.

Anyway, my gut tells me to try out the Composite Products extension. I’m hoping someone can verify this as the correct choice because although there’s a 30-day money-back guarantee, I’d like to be reassured before dedicating the funds.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I have the exact same problem, did you manage to find a solution?

However I would like to have the option of having a set price for the group or for having the price update dynamically as the products are added.

Would be good if Woo could weigh in with a solution.

    Hi,
    same for me.
please post or contact me about your results
    thanks

    Serge
