If you set up GA4 as such; https://complianz.io/configure-google-analytics-4-for-gdpr/

You can either use “All pages” or cmplz_event_functional. It will be the same.

For search console, if I’m correct. The verification with GTM and Search Console is related to the specific account that is able to access both accounts.

Personally, I use the DNS verification, it seems the most stable as the other ones will fail randomly.

Thanks @aahulsebos, that’s indeed the tutorial I followed and linked to. So you can confirm that Google Analytics (anonymised) is GDPR compliant? Shouldn’t it be classified as “Statistics” or “Marketing” and hence be disable by default?
