    Hello,

When using your plugin, ‘Multiple Domain Mapping on Single Site’, how does the content on a mapped domain appear in search engine results?

Does the mapped domain page/post appear with the NEW (i.e. mapped) domain name or does the original site’s URI display in Google search results?

Hope I’m making sense. Thank you.

by default, both ways are reachable after installing and using the plugin. you should use yoast seo in addition, so that the canonical tag will be inserted and this will point to the mapped domain.
than you can also set up a redirection (with 3rd party plugin or htaccess) from old to new, but that should not have any further effect on seo if the canonical tag is already present…

    Hi Matt,

Thank you for the speedy response; very helpful.

So, is it safe to assume that any child pages of the mapped domain will also display in the same way within search engine results? Like so:

    MappedDomain.com/child-page-slug

Again, thank you (sorry for reopening the topic/ticket).

yes, child paths are mapped too. if you like to redirect them too, you must either use wildcard redirections or rules for all of them. canonical tag will be present as well, like described.

best is to just try it out ??
