which calendar plugin to choose (to retrieve date value)?

    Good morning,

    I have to redo an application (site developed under the Symfony framework, an environment that I don’t know at all!!! :-0) in WordPress!!!

    For this, the application used a small calendar (already I don’t know how it was developed??) as a widget that the user scrolled and selected a date which then allowed a form to be displayed with the database data (mariadb or mysql database) depending on the chosen date.

    I would therefore like to reproduce the same use case in WP but I don’t already know which calendar plugin to choose? And

    1/ above all, is it possible to retrieve the value (Date) of a calendar plug-in and then query a table (e.g. mysql)

    2/ in order to retrieve information from the database with this value (perhaps via php???)
