I use woocommerce for property products.

What I want to ask is whether one attribute can contain more than 70,000 data?

    As an example :

Property type attribute (Has 10 data)

    Price attribute (Has 100 data)

Land area attribute (Has 30 data)

    Sub-district attribute (Over 70,000)

Fyi, this attribute is used only to display additional information, nothing more.

I’ve looked for references regarding this, but not yet find an answer.

Can you find the answer for me?

    Sorry, i revise my question

I'm will making a website for advertising services in the property sector using wordpress and woocommerce.

I created categories consisting of provinces, cities and sub-districts that number more than 70,000 (In my country).

However, the products that will be displayed will only be cities and sub-districts.
(Please don't misunderstand the number 70,000)

I know, when I started maybe just 1 or 2 categories (regions).

However I'm worried if as the number of categories keeps growing, it make a matter.

I have to think about how I am responsible to customers considering the business I have

Please advise before I go too far.

    thank you
(Sorry if my english is bad)

note : Hopefully the illustration below can give you a hint of what I want.
     - Provinces A
       - Cities A1
       - Cities A2
         - Subdistrict X1
         - Subdistrict X2
         - Subdistrict X3 - 900
     - Provinces B
       - Cities B1
       - Cities B2
         - Subdistrict Y1
         - Subdistrict Y2
         - Subdistrict Y3 - 400
     - Provinces C -...Z

Totally Subdistrict from Provinces A to Z over 70,000

    Example on front end :

     - Product A (Title, Image, Description, etc)
       - Category : Sub-district X2, Cities A2 </p>
     - Product B (Title, Image, Description, etc)
       - Category : Sub-district Y2, Cities B2

Currently all is well. But i doubt input this data (region) must on categories or attributes. I'm worried that in the future there will be about limitation / ability to accommodate data considering the amount is not small and it a becomes problem. Can you give me advise?

    Hi @wajaraja,

Excellent question. There isn’t an absolute limit on the number of attributes, categories, or tags that you have. However, managing that many in the admin would definitely be challenging.

WooCommerce uses the same setting screen for attribute terms that WordPress has for tags and categories for posts. It just wasn’t optimized to work with that many different categories or attributes.

While it should be technically possible, it’s going to be hard to manage.

Let us know if you have any qustions.

    Hey @wajaraja,

I am very happy to hear this clarification, and i immediately looked for a way to test this. i have tried some documentation on how to import attributes but it doesn’t work.

You can find a guide on how to import sample data into WooCommerce here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/importing-woocommerce-sample-data/

The CSV that’s referenced in that guide can be found inside the WooCommerce directory by going to woocommerce/sample-data. Alternatively, you can find the file on GitHub.

You could modify that CSV file to have multiple different combinations of attribute names and values and then import it to test a large number of attributes.

    I hope that helps!

    Kind regards,
