Please bring back the debit/credit card payment button from 2.0.2! I’ve lost 3 sales over the last couple of days because people without a PayPal account were unable to find out how to pay with a card.

I just chatted with Woo support, they’re aware of this bug.

If you change the single product display option to ‘vertical’, the card button reappears. I couldn’t get it to show on any of the checkout pages though. I’ve reverted to v2.0.2 for the moment until they get this fixed.

Change the “Button Design” option to “vertical” then on “Hide Funding Method (s)” select any other option rather than credit and debit card. it worked well to me!

Still no solution? Yours, Col, didn’t work ??

Dosnt work for me neither :o…. I really don’t get this.

    Hi there,

I just double checked on my site with the latest version 2.0.3, and am seeing the buttons on both the single product page and Checkout page. As mentioned above, as long as you have the Layout set to “Vertical” and then make sure there are no methods being hidden like this:

    buttons

Then they should display, on the single product page:

    paypal buttons

    And at Checkout:

    paypal checkout

Have you set things up as displayed under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal Checkout?

I got it working as you described, thanks. However, it still doesn’t show at the final checkout, and I think that’s what’s confusing customers. You have to click on the PayPal button to reveal the option to pay by card.

    Hey again!

That is expected with how PayPal loads in the buttons.

PayPal Checkout is designed to bypass the usual checkout flow, so it functions a bit differently on the checkout page.

Hopefully that helps! Have a great one!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
