Where to store custom value in wp database?

  • Hi,
    I am not sure if it is right place to post this question… but here it goes… I need to store custom value in the wordpress database. Could you suggest wordpress table which I could use?

    Hi,
    Thanks for reply, but I don’t want to use this field on the post. I have some selection of custom fields for use when submitting posts and I wouldn’t like that value to appear in the custom fields drop down.

    If you precede the name of the custom field with an underscore (eg _test), it won’t appear in the custom field dropdown list.
