• I just uploaded my weblog the other day (thanks agin Podz). The default template is nice but I would like to try something else. I downloaded the Kubrick template (it looks very clean just my thing) . I know nothing about where to start, what would you all suggest would be my first step in learning where to go from here, of course besides this post. I know html enough to do what I need but .css and php wow not sure where to start.
    Any suggestions would be great.
    Much thanks:

  • well.. Kubrick is a very nice looking style for wp. however, it contains a lotta stuff that’s nothing short of a pain to learn from. in short, its a quick, cool-looking solution but hard for a newb to customize and edit. the best, simple style templates i have found are Root’s. look into Gemini and Trident. these are bare-bone, clean styles for wp 1.2. they are not too hard to hack up into wp 1.3 styles either. using these, you can create a modest starting layout and as your skills increase you can improve the layout.

Thank you I will go there first, it took me 1 1/2 just to get the header for Kubrick (new to photoshop also) so hopfully Root will be easier for now.
    Thanks
