Where to set desired menu-location for "Selectively Activate Theme Locations"?

  • Where do I “Selectively Activate Theme Locations”? When I turn off “Activate All Theme Locations” I do not see any place that I can enter the theme locations I want to activate.

    From some of the other posts in this forum, I’ve got the sinking feeling that the selective activation may require php and function calls. Is that true? I was hoping for a blank field within the plugin.

    If you don’t see any theme locations, it means your theme isn’t using the theme_location parameter when calling wp_nav_menu, which is a best practice. Without the use of that parameter, there is no way to target a specific menu.
