Where to save header file

  • Hi,

    Where do I save a custom banner. I’ve read you save it in the image file but where is that? I’ve done it before but for some reason it’s not working? My site’s local.

  • Most likely if the banner used from images then you should have images folder in your theme folder

    Yeah so I put it in there and paste code into the style.css?

    It is dependent on how the theme places banners. If the theme supports custom headers, you should have an option under Appearance->Header. You just click that link and upload the image. The theme should handle everything after that.

    I’ve got Minimalist theme and from what I can tell it doesn’t have header under appearance. Thanks, Matt

    Check in themes folder see if you have images folder in there there may be the header image
    If you have there you can replace the image keeping same name and size.
