• I am wandering and frustrated that nobody replies to my topics here.
    I assumed this forum is for WordPress related support, but nobody ever responds to my questions and when I bump my theme from page 10 to get answered, I am waiting – ok I can wait a few hours, but here are topics of half a year….I get warnings and remarks that I can may be hire someone to fix their lousy WordPress….
    So, Where is the WordPress support, where I can get my answers answered?
    -I know, almost all content managment systems have a place where is provided support – it may be forum or tickets or what ever – where is this place?!

    – I find it very offensive to get rude warnings and remarks from moderators, instead of my questions answered.
    It is their duty, or who’s duty it is?

  • ok I can wait a few hours,

    Try waiting at least 24 hours (as opposed to the 1 hour since your last post) before posting again. And do not bump your topics. WordPress is free software and these forums are staffed purely by volunteers who try to answer as many questions as they can when they can. If this level of support is inadequate for your needs, perhaps you need to consider hiring someone – in which case try https://codepoets.com/ or https://jobs.wordpress.net/

    You have been warned about posting the same question multiple times on one occasion. On another topic, you were asked to provide a site url (address) but you never replied. Duplicate topics, bumping and unanswered questions waste the little time that volunteers have available.

    I can’t give url’s of disappeared pages, that was question, and url of Test page which disappeared doesn’t make sense.

    If you are asked a question, it is with good reason. You cannot complain about not getting help when you do not bother to answer.

    I usually always answer, it was senseless remark by someone, when I descibe that my pages sisappeared, someone asked just 2 words “site url?” – this was just curiosity like “oh, really” – it doesn’t need to answer anything.
    And it was only about 1 question out of 8

    someone asked just 2 words “site url?” – this was just curiosity like “oh, really”

    No – that was a request for you provide the url of your site. Unless you provide a link to the site or a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

    And it was only about 1 question out of 8

    4 out your 7 non-duplicated posts have been answered. As I said previously, if this level of support is inadequate for your needs, try hiring someone.

    No way 4/7 ,
    – only if count this current thread as answered – actually no, we just chat;
    – if you count answered as telling: “turn off all plugins and themes” until I found myself a solution – nope, not answered;
    – Curiosity “site url” (disappeared pages&url) – nope not answered
    etc.

    If this level of support is inadequate for your needs, try hiring someone.

    if you count answered as telling: “turn off all plugins and themes” until I found myself a solution – nope, not answered

    You can’t expect people to automatically know what’s wrong with your site. Diagnosing a problem requires troubleshooting… which means you have to try a fix, see if it works, and if not, report back the results and ask for other options. Turning off plugins and themes is often the first suggestion because a LOT of problems are the result of conflicts created by them. You have to narrow down the possibilities before you can fix something.

    Curiosity “site url” (disappeared pages&url) – nope not answered etc.

    That is not “curiosity”. A request for a site URL is part of diagnosing the problem. Sometimes just looking at a live site (even if it’s just a 404 page) can give us some information about what’s going on. If you don’t provided the URL how are we supposed to help?

    We’re not mind-readers… you need to help us to help you.

    if you count answered as telling: “turn off all plugins and themes” until I found myself a solution – nope, not answered;

    I realize that none of the volunteers here were able to “answer” your question (for free) to your satisfaction, but that has nothing to do with whether the thread had been resolved. The thread doesn’t need to be left open, especially if you are doing so merely out of spite. No one owes you anything here, and deliberately being spiteful to people who come here to help you (for free) isn’t a good strategy.

    And the url question: There’s no info in your post that could lead someone to figure out the mystery that is your problem. Perhaps (with a little bit of consideration) if the PAGE url is 404 and won’t be useful, and the person trying to help you isn’t actually trolling you, maybe they meant you should share the SITE url.

    Just maybe, the site url could have been useful… you know, back when someone was considering helping you for free.
