    Dear Mostafa,
nice plug in and nice functionality when working but – i know you update quite often and often some small mistakes in it but thqats how it is – but you should have informed that updating to 5.3 is downrating funktionalities . No geo information anymore – comes with a lame explanation php safe mode detected so geo info can’t work?????? Worked yesterday with 5.2 – with everything in the same set up – please give me 5.2 back . Where do i get 5.2 version – it′s urgent.
    Thank you.

You can always download older version of the plugin from the WordPress site, for 5.2 the link is:

Several reports came in for safe mode not functioning with GeoIP due to some functions not being available, which is why it was removed in 5.3.

What version of PHP are you running? In PHP 5.4 or newer safe mode was removed but the detection code uses the php.ini setting to determine it’s state. If the safe_mode ini line wasn’t removed it would incorrectly report back that safe mode was enabled.

    Hej Greg
    thanks for your fast response
    – the host is upgrading this spring to php 5.4 so i′m not sure which version they are running right now – back converting in version without loosing the data – how to manage that one ?

The data format hasn’t changed for quite a while, just remove 5.3 and install 5.2.

Once you install 5.2 again you can repopulate the missing GeoIP data under statistics-> optimizations -> GeoIP.

You can find the PHP version by going to the statistics-> optimizations page.
