One more q. If I decide to move the WP installation into a different directory on my server, where would I have to adjust the path? Explanation: I installed WP in a subdirectory called /testlog on my server to try it out without interrupting normal stuff @ my site. Now I’m very happy with it :), but I’m unhappy with my directory structure and would like to move the installation completely up one level to the root dir.
Is there a list of places in the code I’ll need to re-tune??
    Thanks,
    Irina.

there are 3-4 places in the backend where u have to change the adress.
just check all the individual settings in the OPTIONS.
it worked fine when i shifted my own blog.
These are the 3 places where the link is specified:
    RSS/RDF Feeds, Track/Ping-backs
    File uploads
    Base settings

So what about My SQL? Will it mind where my stuff is?

No probs. These are the questions I can actually answer as I have shifted quite a few blogs for a friend. I wish I had the profeciency to handle the hacks too :P.
