where to add filter line in functions.php?

    I am new and unfamiliar with editing the php files, so when I added
    add_filter( 'visual-form-builder-css', '__return_false' ); to my functions.php, everything went haywire.
    Can someone please recommend an area// before this // after this// where I should add that line to the functions.php so that I can continue to editing the plug-in’s css?
