Where or where have my categories gone?

I can see your cats, the posts in the cats, that is, when I click on the cat names.

that is the dynamic page. what you saw was index.html (static)

I don’t know if you upgraded your index page when you upgraded to the latest nightly, but the old index page used list_cats and the new one uses wp_list_cats. Some changes were made so you may need to look at the function and dink around with it a bit if you want to still use list_cats.

is the dynamic page generated by WP. on this page the categories list (on the left in the #menu div) is showing ALL and then NO CATEGORIES.

I lost my category list also. I wish I hadn’t downloaded the latest build. May have to delete whole site now and reinstall 1.01 or whatever it is. All I get is:
Categories:
All
No categories
grrr
