where is the z index stuff ?

Hello,
This plugin is really good, but I have a small problem with it, that I already encountered with other slider scripts.
I also have a drop down menu on my website, and it then passes under the slider.
Whatever I try to do with the z-index does not work.
Any idea would be welcome.
