Where is the menu hierarchy set?

    We recently took over a wordpress site, and we are having trouble finding where the menu hierarchy is set up at. When I go to add a new page, the “Parent” option under “Page Attributes” does not match up with what appears on my site. Also tried doing a search through all the code with no luck. Not sure what the deal is. I thought I had a good understanding of wordpress but apparently not.
