  • Hi @bjf2000,

I don’t think I understand you. Could you please explain, actually, the thing you would like to achieve?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

That article is titled “How To Remove the Astra Header From Entire Site?” pretty well sums it up.

So, someone is using Astra now for the header and/or footer.

They want to still be using Astra in general, but just not for the header and/or footer anymore.

They’ve secured something else to handle the header/footer, but Astra’s handling of it still needs to be turned off. It’s very hard to believe that the only way to do that is via an obscure child theme patch (what the above article describes). Surely there’s a master switch in Astra’s settings.

    Hi @bjf2000,

    Thanks for explaining.

With the Header Builder, if you don’t add any element to the Header, the Header will never show up. The same thing happened with the Footer.

    I hope it will help.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

@bsfherman for the purposes of the question, assume someone already has built the header/footer with Astra. At that point if they no longer want them, they either have to undo that work or do what the article mentions? I was just thinking that there would be a toggle in the UI for such a thing.

    Hi @bjf2000,

There’s no such toggle button to disable Header and/or Footer that will work for the entire site. The button is available only on Astra Meta Settings.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
