I’ve always had my categories box and tag box show up in every post AND page edit admin screens. But all of a sudden, they’re not there. I was finally able to find a plugin for categories, “Map Categories to Pages,” but it’s not quite the same. But I CANNOT find any plugin that would do the same for my tags.

What happened?! Was it the most recent update to WordPress? I’ve checked my Screen Options drop-down tab on the edit page/post screen, but none of it applies to categories and tags. I see all the tags I established already in Posts > Tags, but that tag box ONLY shows up in post edit screens. It used to show up in the edit screens for BOTH page and post. I need it for my pages, too!

I would include my site, but the issue is only in the admin screens.

  • Have you tested by deactivating all plugins, and switching to 2011 theme?

You may have developed a conflict with one of those…

Unfortunately, I need the current theme I have, Graphene, which didn’t conflict after I updated it a while back. I’ve had it for a long time now and it’s always worked so smoothly with WordPress, unlike a lot of other themes I’ve tried.

It’s only just this week this started happening. Wouldn’t it be an included feature with WordPress, not subject to conflict? I mean, like the editor – that’s there no matter what’s going on, plugin- or theme-related. I always thought those tag and categories boxes were standard elements of the edit pages.
