Where is pictures stored in wordpress?

  • I just wonder where pictures are stored in wordpress?

    I cannot access wp-admin/uplaods.php as the conection resets and i’ve been googling for days and tried multiple ways of trying to solve it on my 2003 server with iis 6.

    So I kind of given up on trying to solve it.

    So my idea is to get aground the issue by uploading the pics by ftp instead to the server folder, hence my question.

  • Uploads such as images are usually stored in wp_content/uploads. There is no wp-admin/uploads folder in WordPress core.

    So if I understand you correctly, I should just upload my pics to the upload folder in wp-content?

    Well actually, WP call for wp-admin/uplaods.php when you click on “Media” in the admin interface. Which doesn’t work for me. But that’s different story ??
