• I need to send my html link to another website, so I can be featured in their links. Where do I find the HTML code of my site?

  • WordPress is built with PHP and HTML. If you go to your theme’s folder (at wp-content/themes) you’ll find a bunch of PHP files there, and if you open those files, you’ll see a mixture of PHP and HTML.

It’s a little strange that you would need to send the HTML code from your site to be featured in their links section, though. What site are you trying to be featured on and what exactly are they asking for?

Thanks. I’m afraid I don’t know where my theme’s folder is, and I don’t know a PHP file from my cat’s tail (I’m a writer, not a programmer; I chose WordPress because I was told it would be simple, and I’m regretting my choice). The site asking me for this info requested, “HTML code to install for the Banner link.”

What are you trying to do? Are you trying to place HTML code on your site to create a banner that links to another site? Can you post a link to a site that’s requesting “HTML code to install for the Banner link”?

Forgive me if I’m not being clear. I have received a link to the banner of Site A, and successfully installed it on my site (Site B). Now, Site A is requesting the same from me (Site B), so that they can feature my site on theirs, just as I’ve done with theirs.

Judging from what you’ve said, this doesn’t appear to be WordPress-specific, so I’m afraid we may not be able to give useful advice. Can you ask Site A exactly what they want from you? They shouldn’t need any of your HTML if all they want to do is provide a link to your site.
