Where is my dashboard?

  • Ok,,I got a domain,, it’s up,,downloaded wordpress,,,but,,,,I can’t find any of the settings pages. Like the dashboard I hear about. I’ve been on a bunch of pages, but they all tell me how to use everthing, but not how to get to my settings. I know this is dumb, but I don’t know where to start. I’ve even read that page, (where to start).

  • your dashboard is:

    yourdomain.com/wp-admin

    Login using your username and password and then you will find the settings and other controls in the left hand side…

    ok,,I’ve never heard that before. Why didn’t I know that?
    But anyway,, I tried it and it says page not found. It says that I might now have uploaded my website yet. Do I have to get more software to do that? MY website is Eddieusa.com

    Yes, I think you have not installed wordpress yet, or incorrectly installed.

    Ok,,,I found it…..it’s mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin
    Thanks alot for your help….I’m sure I’ll need more. Im just getting started.
