Where does ?themes_on_signup_preview=1 come from?

  • Google Search Console found dozens of pages with ?themes_on_signup_preview=1 at the end of the URL.

    They may not be a problem. I don’t think they are.

    But where does this URL extension come from? What causes it?

    Is that query string part of the URLs from your own site? Or are they from links from external sites? If the latter, it’d be difficult to determine the cause or do anything about it. It looks like it may be related to the PressPatron “Become a supporter” banner at the top of the page. Making the same request without the query string returns a page without the banner.

    That’s interesting, because I normally see that banner on every page with or without the query strong. But yes, it’s gone on a private browser window.
