Where does the data populating the wp_users table come from?

  • We are running WordPress with Buddy Press. We have over 899 names and emails populating the wp_users table. We have 141 registered users in the wp_afhu_users table. What is the source of the 899 names in the wp_users table? We do not want to be missing out on registrants.
