• I couldn’t get Online Backup to send my backup to Gmail account as it was over 100 Mb–somewhere around 171Mb. So I did a local backup. But I am too computer unsavvy to have even the first clue as to where in the heck this “local” backup went. Can you help me to find it? And will it restore the same way as any other type of backup? (Restore is, of course, a whole other issue, which I hopefully won’t have. But if I can’t find it, I can’t restore it!) My OS is Windows 7. Here’s the other stuff you seemed to want.

  • I would also like to know where the “local” backup goes to, it does not give me an option to direct it somewhere. My online doesn’t work either, crashes my WordPress back to the install window.

I just was looking for this answer and found it somewhere else.

    It goes to /wp/wp-content/backups

I wish you could set it though…
