Where do you place the article text?

  • I know this is a stupid question but I need to know where you place the text for the article. If I understand this right, the loop in the home page imports all the text from outside files; authors name, article content, title of the article – am I right? I need to know what files to place this information in. Where does the loop draw this information from?

  • Well, The_Loop pulls all the data from the database. (Follow that link for more information). All the posts, associated data and author data is stored in your MySQL db.

    thx Chris. It WAS a stupid question. I’m doing a custom wp site from scratch (for the first time) and I’m reading the book as I’m going, and my heads all into it and I completely forgot about the hosted admin pages. Thanks for your prompt response.
