    Hello,

Probably your page was created without Polylang (or with Polylang but with French as main language, or with the url option “the language is set from the content”. So the url was https://picturesdown.com/image-bonjour-et-photos/.

Once you activated Polylang with your current settings, the url becomes https://picturesdown.com/fr/image-bonjour-et-photos/. To avoid users who have the old url to receive a 404 error, we implemented the mechanism to redirect the old url to the new url.
This is quite similar to what WordPress does when you change the page slug after you have published it.

wrong! Initially, all pages are created with such redirects, this is a mistake.

I have pages in all languages available via two links, and there is a redirect, each new page created receives a redirect, what are you talking about?

I first set the polylang, and then I make posts, and in all 8 languages ??there is such a situation, your statement is wrong

You can somehow influence this, or disable it, I do not need it. If you need redirects, I’ll put it myself. Thank
