Where do offline messages go?

Greetings. This is a very nice little chat app, I like it so far. But where do the messages go that people send when you’re offline? I’m not seeing them in email and they are not waiting in the ‘Live Chat’ panel either.
Also, it would be nice if there was an option to go offline without having to logout of Admin panel.
