Where do I edit?

  • Hello! I’ve struggled a little with websites built in wordpress, and my uncle asked me for some help with his. He installed some updates with plugins and suddenly, his slide show stopped working. He asked me to go in and take a look at it and see if could be restored. So…can you tell me, where do I even edit that part of the page. When I go in to edit the home page, the first thing that’s there to edit is the paragraph below the “vew products” button. I know the items in the three boxes at the bottom are “widgets” what’s the top part? And why is it so elusive?

    To fix the slider, I see that Meta Slider plugin in not activated/installed on the site. [metaslider id=554] is the shortcode for that plugin. I suggest you to activate this plugin or install it if not exist under plugins.

    That worked! I wish ALL my tech issues could be that simple. Now. IF I wanted to edit that part that’s to the left of the slider – where would that be? I don’t see it on the home page.

    About the editing of left siderbar content, without looking into the dashboard it would be difficult to tell you how you can edit that. But it seems like this is added by the plugin. You can explore the plugin options (e.g. featured content etc.) by logging into WordPress dashboard.
