Where did my pages and content go?
-
Yesterday, I was putting the final touches on a new site built with the Avada theme.
I was trying to change the link connected with the logo in the header. Instead of going to the Avada generic home page, I wanted it to link to the new home page that I built for the site (home-4).
I couldn’t find this setting and tried putting the full URL of the new home page under the WordPress General Tab under the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL). This was done by adding /home-4 to the existing URL.
This caused several problems including knocking the site offline and locking me out of the Admin page. All I would receive was an Internal Server Error page.

I followed the Edit Functions.php section to try and restore the site. I was able to restore access to the Admin. I checked, and my WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) have been restored to their original links before the problems begam. When I view site, the generic Avada page loads… with my header, logo, navigation, etc… But when I try to click on a link to any of my new pages, all I get is the Internal Server Error page.
Thoughts or suggestions for relinking the sites pages would be greatly appreciated.
