• When I go to my main URL, I get a message “Search returned 0 results” and don’t see where that page is coming from in my admin.

It looks like it’s my homepage but it’s not the same home page that’s in my pages?? Thanks!

  • It seems like you have to create a page, call it Home (or whatever you want), then go into Settings > Reading and set that to be your static Home page.

Then you will probably have the issue of having two Home buttons again. To fix that you would have to edit the header.php file of your theme, which honestly you probably wouldn’t want to do at this point since you don’t seem to be familiar with PHP coding and FTP.

That’s exactly what happened yesterday when all this started. I created a “home” page to add content, but then I had two home pages.

It looks like there might be two options then. One, to edit the header.php, which I would try doing with instruction. And to be on the safe side, I would copy all code (for safety) prior to my attempt.

Or two, learn how to remove the date/author mark (or whatever it’s called) from the current post, which was the only way I could get to that single home page.

I’ll be adding content to the event over the next two weeks in preparation for announcing the fest. Maybe I can get it resolved or find a different theme that will work better for my purpose.

    Thanks for all your help!
