Where can I add thumbnails to each book of my collection?

    Hello,

    I am a happy zotero user and I like this great plugin. Thank you very much for this marvelous work !
    I’m trying to put an image for each book in a collection of books. I’m using the shortcode intended to “showimages” but I don’t figure out how this function really works, so I will appreciate if anyone can give me an explanation. By using showimage=”yes” or showimage=”openlib”, I didn’t get images at all. It is possible that any of my books is in the Open Library catalog, but I understand that I can upload my own images. The point is that I don’t see where or how I can do this. In my standalone zotero? In zotero online? In which field? I haven’t found any instructions nor support threads explaining this. Any help is welcome !

    You can always go to the Open Library and check to see if your books have images there. Also make sure that all of the meta data for your Zotero items are there and correct.

    You can manually add images by going to “Browse” in the Zotpress admin and clicking the square beside each item to select/upload an image using WP.

    Hello Katie,

    Thank you to put my eyes on it, because the square is only visible when I mouse over. I tried using both methods, but only Open Library is useful. I added images by the browse, but any image is loaded in the page, and finally, any image seems to be recorded at the browse. Only images loaded at Open Library are fixed.

    Hi Katie,

    Yes, I decided to use Open Library method, in order to reduce problems. So all items are using covers that I previously added in Open Library. I’m really enthousiast with the possibility of using zotero in this project. That makes me happy. I will be testing later if there is something on my template that could be creating a conflict with the zotpress browse method. My aim is using this local method to add covers, which is, without any doubts, my preferred option.

    Oh, I see. My dev pc has shipped but later I will test the images to make sure they work. Maybe others can chime in regarding whether they work. It could be a plugin conflict too.

    I’m also having trouble doing this in WordPress as opposed to OpenLibrary. I’m able to select images, but the associations between the bibliographic items and the images don’t seem to actually be getting saved anywhere. If I reload the page, for example, none of the items still have images next to them.
