  • Hi @roro111,

The doc you shared above is actually up to date. The one that is not “up to date” is actually, your site.

I think you are still using the old Header/Footer. The doc above is showing how to do that using the new Header Footer Builder (HFB).

I would suggest you switch to the new HFB. One of the reasons is we keep adding more features to HFB. The thing that we don’t do more with the old Header/Footer. Refer to this screenshot, please.

TIP: While switching to the new HFB will not hurt your site, I still suggest you create a proper back up of your site.

    Hello,

I tried what you suggested and switched to the new HFB.

It did break my Header and Footer styles.

    I re-installed a snapshot of my FTP.

What to do if I want to switch to HFB without breaking my Header and Footer? Thanks

I actually realized that my FTP snapshot did not restore the previous THEME settings.. Now I am stuck with the new version of ASTRA…

OK, I managed to deal with the new HFB and reworked the whole Header and Footer, but I noticed 2 things new :
There is no more Hamburger menu for Desktop View anymore, it s a bit strange but I ‘ ll try to comply .
Also, the Site Logo is no longer resizable: I can only change its width in the settings, but it distorts the image immediately….
Can we do better than that?
    Thanks

    Hi @roro111,

Sorry, I shall mention that switching from the old Header/Footer to the new HFB will not migrate your Header/Footer design, and you will need to re-create it, as mentioned in this doc. However, redesign the Header and/or Footer using the new HFB should not hard and take long.

    Anyway, regarding your recent queries:

    1) There is no more Hamburger menu for Desktop View anymore, it s a bit strange but I ‘ ll try to comply.
The Hamburger Menu / Toggle Button element is available only with the Astra Pro plugin. However, you can have the Toggle Button menu on the Desktop view by updating the Breakpoints. This doc will who you how.

Basically, you will need to increase the default Breakpoint. So, even on a wider screen, i.e. Desktop view, the Menu will turn into a Toggle Button.

    2) The Site Logo is no longer resizable: I can only change its width in the settings, but it distorts the image immediately.
Sorry, this is a known issue. However, it happens only on the Customizer when you resize the logo. On the frontend, the logo should look fine. Even when you refresh the Customizer, the logo will look correct.
