Where are the default colors set in GovPress

This theme is very well built. I’ve been out of the WP game a while now. So I’m rusty.

I installed the theme and went to the customization page to see how everything was set up. I noticed that different pieces of the theme had a default color set. So I made the assumption that changing the colors wouldn’t be as simple as changing the css.

So I secure shelled into my dev server, changed a color in the css. Upon refreshing the page I noticed the element didn’t change. So I checked to customization section and saw the default still there overriding my change.

I opened up the functions.php looking for the default color settings. Maybe I overlooked them?

Could you please tell me where the default colors are set?
