Where are redirects happening?

  • I do not have any redirect plugins, there are no redirects in my htaccess file. Cloudflare nor WPEngine have redirect rules in place that create this 301.

    Header information within dev tools just tells me it’s coming from wordpress.

    How is this happening? How can I find out who is responsible for this 301?

    That page requires login to review, but I assume that fizstage.wpengine.com is redirecting to schiffgold.com because it’s the staging site.

    If so, I’d say that’s expected behavior.

    Hmmm, my guess is that the FAQ items have been saved with faq3 as their parent page, rather than faq.

    The puzzling part for me is how it’s happening. Going to https://schiffgold.com/faq/quantitative-easing/, redirects to https://schiffgold.com/faq3/quantitative-easing/. But I have no idea where that redirect rule is taking place, so I came to the WP forums since as far as I can tell, the redirect is happening from WP itself.

    Are parent pages related to 301 redirects?

    Yeah, the parent page needs to be /faq/ if you want the it to load under https://schiffgold.com/faq/quantitative-easing/

    Hello,

    If you can’t edit the faq3 page slug, check if you have any old FAQ pages, either in draft or in trash. If you do, delete them or change their URL to faq-old or something similar, and then change the live FAQ page slug not to have 3 in it.
