Thanks. I do not see any database files in my FTP-program, nor in my file manager, but I can at least backup from phpMyAdmin. Does anybody know how I can FTP MySQL files to local disk?

The post content is kept, along with categories, pages, tags, comments, and settings, in a MySQL database. If you don’t have a MySQL database backup (as presspass pointed too), then talk to your host.

You can’t FTP the MySQL files. You need to restore them via something such as phpMyAdmin. See Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup.

Thank you. Obviously many providers hide the database files for their customers. Probably because of less help desk calls…
