Where and what is the home page

I am currently using WordPress installed locally so I can create a demo of it.
I installed EPL using the instructions in the WordPress Plugin page for it. I created blank listings pages and those seem to work. I cannot however figure out where the homepage is for EPL. The page that users would normally see when they go to the website. The one that has a search feature.
I have been programming for half a century but I am new to WordPress. I suspect that the answer is obvious to experienced WordPress people and I do not expect EPL to explain all the details but if I must create a page for WordPress to use as the home page then I think something should be said about that in the instructions somewhere.
The following is a screen shot of the Childishly Simple demo; how do I get to a corresponding page (using whatever theme that EPL was installed for) in my system?
