    when upgrading to wordpress 5.3 the visual input (Text) does not work

    Weighing in again. I have the same problem and have not been able to resolve it in spite of much effort.

    For me, it worked with other themes than 2020.

    It’s baffling! I am admin and have no toolbar. I have an “Editor” who also does not have a toolbar.

    However, I have an alternate admin account and the toolbar is there when signed into that account.

    The permissions are the same for the two admins. The only difference I a can think of is the alternate admin has no published posts.
