When to clear the cache?

    I rarely empty the Autoptimize cache. Normally it’s quite small.

    But I’ve noticed that certain plugin or theme updates can make the cache grow a little. Particularly my cookie consent plugin.

    Yet, I don’t see any negative effect on site speed.

    Is there any desperate need to clear the cache in these situations? Or can it happily wait until I make more serious site changes?

    Even when making changes to the site, clearing cache is not needed as AO picks up on changes and will create new autoptimized files, so as long as the cache does not grow too quickly, you can safely let things be ??
