• Many websites have design adjusted specially for the recaptcha v2. As a web developer I lately get tons of support requests from clients that contact form on their website has stopped working after an update and that there is an empty space where there once was a recaptcha v2 “click to verify” box.

CF7 Developers, I ask you! Can you please be so kind, and add an option in Contact Form 7 settings, which allows WordPress admin to switch between recaptcha versions v2 and v3?

Google also says, that reCaptcha v2 is not going away.

    Thank you,

  • I second this request!

I have the same question!!! In addition it seems CF7-v3 has some conflict with cache plugins like: W3 Total Cache and WP Rocket.

    B

I would also request this feature!

I request too this request because v3 is not soo wonderful. I put it on client and always Recaptcha v3 think everybody are a robot (strange for a robot to think human are robot).

And have option to support v2 feature is a must.

Anyway excellent work on this plugin, used everyday on over 3000+ websites…

    I Love this plugin.

    Cheers

Given enough time, reCaptcha version 3 is overall better than version 2 since it learns patterns. You have to give version 3 enough time to learn how users interact with your site so it can distinguish bots from users.

It doesn’t sound like Contact Form 7 is going to go back to version 2 but there’s plenty of plugins that continue to supply version 2 reCaptcha. Contact Form 7 – ReCaptcha v2 is a solid plugin that brings back the functionality people are used to.
