When selecting 'CLEAR' any text field is not cleared in EntryWizard

Strange, I can’t reproduce this. I see text fields getting cleared along with the others.

Just a stab in the dark, but could it have something to do with your autofill settings?

What browser and operating system you are using?

Before I posted it, I did search and saw nothing.
I am glad I did post it. So now I can confirm it.
If you can not reproduce it, definitely there is something wrong here, only.
It is not the Browser, as the problem is reported with
chrome and fox. I did not test it with IE.
When you mentioned autofill, where is that setting? in WP, or the browsers itself?

I was referring to the browser autofill setting. Probably not the cause, if it happens in both chrome and ff.

Since you say “is reported”, I assume other people see the problem, not just you, which would mean the problem would have to be on the server.

How long has it been going on for? Since before you upgraded to the current version (1.2.23)? If so, that would probably eliminate the possibility of a corrupted file. But to be quite sure, you may want to download the latest version and use it to replace the javascript/ewz-uploads.js file on your server.

The other faint possibility I can think of is that some other plugin is interfering with the functionality, although it’s unlikely. You could try deactivating each in turn to see if one is the culprit. If you find one, please let me know.

Forgot, Installed about 10 days ago.
Other plugins may the factor. Also I have tried a few plugins and then deleted them.
Perhaps a clean install, may help after checking out all the plugin.
Actually about 10 of them.

I am running out of time, but I have to confirm.
The other plugins, has no effect.
The problems is in the layout I did create.
The sample layout does clear upon delete, perfectly.
I am going to recreate a new page.

That’s really interesting. When you have time, can you let us know what the layout was that caused the issue?

I am back and I did try many things including deactivation of every thing.
By the way I am using a theme SKT Photo Session. Jut in case is worth mentioning.
I did find that when I select the text field to display in 2 lines, at deletion, it does not clear the text.
The original sample has 50 chr disp 30 in -1 line- .
I though that my text field will be 40 chr , 20 /line and in 2 lines display.
The display is perfect. But at delete the record, the title or any text field, retain the text, unless you exit. Then it does not matter.
If I make it 40 chrs 40/line 1 line. Is perfect. it clear 100 of time.
Can you reproduce this? if you can not then I have to look further.
Again that program is great.

Just got back from a few days vacation, saw your last post, and realized I had totally forgotten that single-line and multi-line text entries are handled quite differently ( multi-line was a very recent addition). With a multi-line text input I see the problem right away.

No problem, actually the one line is working fine.
When I saw the option of 2 lines, I was thinking that by using less area in frame, the font could be larger.
I was looking at the code and I was trying to see how I could increase the font size of the fields labels and perhaps the field itself.
BY the way , why there is no donate button in the plugin?

Font size on the web is tricky, with all the different screens and wordpress themes. I don’t pretend to be an expert. I did my best not to interfere with whatever was set by the theme and by the user’s browser.

If you really need to change a font size, you should do it in your style.css file. I hope that would only be needed if your theme was interfering with some EntryWizard setting. Be very careful that you are not making it harder to read for someone with a different screen size or pixel density.

I was taking a chance and I did tried this:
<font size=”4″>
[ewz_show_webform identifier=”c101″]
</font>

It seems to change the size.
I have not tested everywhere, I think this will help (Change the 4 to 3 or 5 or whatever)
I do not think you want to use 15.

I think the latest version (1.2.24) should fix the issue of clearing multi-line text inputs.

Regarding font sizes, I’d strongly suggest checking the site on other computers, with other browsers — what you are doing will affect all viewers, not just you. ( It is also not supported under html5 ). Try changing your browser options instead.

If you really need to change the font for all viewers, do it in your style.css file, something like this:
