Alright, i’ve never had a problem quite like this. I am a theme developer and am working on a custom theme for someone…

When i go in and save a file (usually index.php) it refreshes to show the changes and everything is gone… replaced by a row of question marks in a diamond…

I’ve disabled ALL plugins and it still does it… i’ve tried different themes and it does the same. It just started happening out of nowhere.

    Here is a screenshot: https://img161.imageshack.us/img161/6950/wordpresserrors111yi1.png

That shows it when i tried it on the wordpress classic theme but it does it to all themes.

Anyone out there have any clue why this is happening and maybe some other things to try????

    Thanks

Resolved this myself… for anyone having similar problems (i’ve seen a few) this was the problem in my case:

I exceeded the quota set for my shell/ftp user so my server was replacing the contents with spaces/question marks.

If this happens to you- check your quota to make sure you are not going over, if so- change it.

If you can’t (not your own hosting)- then delete some unnecessary files and try again. It may take awhile for your server to know that you freed up some space (up to a few hours sometimes).

    Marked as resolved.

I doubt that you don’t check this email Ill get this message thru

I guess you will never deliver Alex???
