When regenerating all does it take into account those already completed.

Please it gets to about 50+% and fails.

On small number of images its fine on 2000+ it doesn’t work

    Hi @neilbatchelor,

Thank you for your message. I will try to help you.

    Nice to meet you.

Have you read the FAQ plugins and other threads in the support forum? It often happens that a given problem has already been raised. It really helps me and saves a lot of time. I think you know that I do it in my free time with passion.

The FAQ contains information about what information I need when someone adds a new thread in the technical support section. Without this information, it cannot help you. Having the complete information I can help better and faster, and I think you and I care about it.

I am asking you for your patience and cooperation. Remember that I can not check everything in every possible environment and any possible set of installed plugins. I try as I can, but without the support of the users do not have such a possibility.

Yes its a live environment and I just can’t debug.

Can you answer my question please?:

If the plugin has already converted say 1000 images and it hits an API error does it go back to the start or does it know to stop and start from where it left off.

If you answer is yes I can keep using regenerate and eventually I can be assured that all the images convert.

If the answer is no – may I suggest that you implement such a feature.

and / or it skips errors and provides list report at the end with technical information you need to investigate.

    Thanks,
    Neil

The answer is very simple. Image regeneration is used to process them the first time you install the plugin. This is also written in the FAQ. Then you do not use this option, because images uploaded to the media library are automatically converted.

The plugin skips errors that it understands. Perhaps in your case there is some specific error that has not happened to any of the users of the plugin yet. If it stops, a fatal error must have appeared.

The number of images does not matter here, because the images are converted in packages, several or several at a time. This is the problem that occurs with a particular image.

I just sent update v1.1.1. It changes, according to your wishes, the handling of critical errors when regenerating images.

At the time of its occurrence, the next ones will be converted, and for specific ones a message with appropriate information will be displayed.

@neilbatchelor, could you update and try to convert all the images? Does this solve your problem?

I have also added the option to skip regenerating images when using the Regenerate All option. Thanks to this, after selecting the checkbox you will be able to skip the existing ones.

This option is used once after installing the plugin. However, for sites with problems, this option will certainly facilitate debugging.
