When plugin active all posts open ~20% into text, not top of post

    Maybe somebody here knows a solution for this.
    If I have the plugin ‘activated’ each link to a post on our site scrolls to a point some 10-20% into the post – not the top of the post!

    It doesn’t matter if this post contains a [toc] or not; most of our posts don’t have a Table of Contents and I only insert these with the shortcode.

    As soon as I deactivate this plugin (and clear my cache) it’s back to normal: all links open with the <h1> header in focus.

    My install:
    latest WordPress 5.1.1, but with “Disable Gutenberg” plugin – I don’t want nor need blocks.

    I now changed to ‘Easy Table of Contents’, a fork of this one and therefore very compatible. The problem is gone!
