    Hi @hnasr !

I’m not sure if this permalink change was done deliberately for expired jobs (similar to how regular posts change their slugs when you switch them from public to draft).

In any case, there is an existing GitHub issue about this here:

    https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues/2135

I recommend you subscribe to this issue to get informed any updates or changes.

    thank you @bindlegirl

    but it’s different

my issue is when the job date expire (for example, 30 days), the job link changes to another type

    This issue affect Google ranking

so i think it need custom code to prevent any change after the job is expired

    Hi @hnasr !

Since this seems to be the way expired jobs work in WP Job Manager, I added this support thread to the GitHub issue mentioned above. Although the issue mentions shortcodes, the root problem is the same, expired jobs change the permalink structure.

I’m not sure when will this issue be resolved but I recommend you subscribe to that GitHub issue as you will get notified about any changes related to that.

    Hi there,

I’m sorry for the late reply here. Unfortunately, we don’t have a defined ETA for this at the moment.

@joewa1980 and @hnasr–I recommend you to move your conversation over to the GitHub issue and add your feedback directly there, so we can track the issue better:

    https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues/2135

    Thanks!

@bluejay77 – the GitHub issue is mine so I’m subscribed to that. Looking forward to some progress as it’s an important issue. This thread is not resolved, despite the label.

    Hi @joewa1980

Thanks for clarifying that you are subscribed to the Github issue.

Regarding the Resolved label on this support thread, it doesn’t mean that the problem is resolved but rather that our development team is aware of this issue. However, like my colleague Jay said, we don’t have a timeline on when we may see resolution on this issue, so we greatly appreciate your patience.

    Best,
    Alba
