When is Facebook oEmbed (raw URL) Coming for Self-Hosted WordPress?

When will we be able to use the raw URL of a Facebook post (like Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc) to trigger an embed on self-hosted WordPress?
I’m noticing free WordPress.com already has it…

…and we don’t….
And….once it becomes available what do we do about old posts that we were embedding by hard-coding Facebook’s SDK or via plugin?
