When is a Slider NOT a Slider?
-
When it’s Smart Slider 3 apparently.
Came back to this slider a couple of weeks ago, following a year or so’s sojourn from it, and it’s hardly recognisable from back then.
Spacing in between layers has improved and no longer needs a magnifying glass and lots of patience to add correct spacings.
Reminds me now a little of Elementor, in the way the designs for each device need to be set up.
*Edit*
After just over a week of following the Smart Slider 3 guidelines in improving my sliders, I’m afraid I was a little hasty in giving it a 5 star review.
Full marks to both Laszio and Gabor (one star each) for their tips and tricks for improvements, but a LCP rating of over 7 seconds and a CLS rating of 4 seconds is just not viable for a hero slider that is designed to bring in custom, even with their new ‘Blazar’ version that is supposedly super fast.
Gone back to static images with WP Bakery now, and my latest LCP rating of 1.4 secs and CLS rating of 0.06 secs says it all really.
