When I try to add a photo to a post, it freezes

  • I have added photos since upgrading, I have deactivated plugins, I have reinstalled WP 3.1, but still, whenever I hit add photo on a post, the new window pops up and my blog freezes, actually, all WP blogs freeze.

    I tried to go to my themes site to see if there was an issue, but with the frozen add photo open, I couldn’t navigate the other WP site, all buttons where disabled.

    I have read a couple of the other posts about this, but none really described what is going on with my blog. Also, I don’t have the familiarity with WP to know where to find some of the settings ppl are referencing.

  • Post some links of what they suggested you.
    Is there a possibility of spyware or things like these? Did you try it in another computer?

    If you install Firefox Firebug then when you add photo you can see if there are javascript errors at bottom

    Firefox also have a Tools > error console; clear all its current errors and try adding a photo again

    If browser freezes; visit this error console after restart to look for clues
