It turns out that it was a conflict between the CherryFramework plugin and NextGen. Unfortunately I need the CherryFramework so I’m stuck unless NextGen can figure it out. I’m going to see if the CherryFramework people have any ideas as well.

Anything yet? Can’t add any updates to site until this is resolved.

All – This “CherryFramework” issue is relatively new, we would really appreciate getting some more detailed information with site specifics so we can start trying to sort out what the issues may be.

Submitting a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) would really help with that.

    Thanks!

I have submitted a bug report. BTW I don’t use CherryFramework.

This solution works with me, i hope it works for you also

You can try to deactivate all your plugins and then activate them 1 by one to see wich one gives the conflict.
You can deactivate that one for a while to work on your updates

Found a workaround for me. Very strange one.

    1. Open your WordPress blog admin.
    2. Under My Sites Open the site in a new window.
    3. In that new window, open the Dashboard in a new window.

Use that 3rd window to work and everything works fine at least for me.

@jeffjdjmedia – Thanks for sharing this … it is a very interesting work-around and to be quite honest I do not know why it would make a difference to open those tabs unless there is possibly a caching issue at play but I am still happy it does work.

Please let us know if find anything else unusual.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

@sabke – It would probably serve you better to start your own topic with the specifics to the issue you are seeing since it does not appear to be the same as the others in this topic.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

After latest update my workaround no longer works.
